Welcome!
I provide individual and group art therapy and traditional talk psychotherapy services to children, adolescents and adults seeking treatment for a range of psychological and interpersonal issues. My specialty is concerns related to living with diabetes.
Art Therapy…
- Helps people who have trouble finding the words to express themselves
- Can be an easy way to explore uncomfortable, difficult, or painful personal issues
- Is an effective alternative to traditional talk therapy
- Requires NO talent
- Relieves stress
- Can be a fun approach to problem-solving
Art therapy can help people with chronic illnesses like diabetes…
- Foster a positive attitude about their illness
- Overcome feelings of ambivalence and lack of motivation
- Identify coping skills for managing their condition in social or family situations, and at school or work
- Safely explore negative thoughts and feelings associated with their condition
- Facilitate dialogue about sensitive topics like identity, food issues, body image, relationships, and concerns about the future
- Foster creative problem-solving skills that can be applied in real-life situations
I currently have both day and evening office hours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. For your convenience, I also offer office hours on some Fridays and weekends.
I am located at The Center for Art, Play & Traditional Therapy in South Jersey. The Center is in Oaklyn, just off Route 30, convenient to I-295, Route 130, and several other major thoroughfares.
